Ignore the Noise…but Listen

It’s loud out there. Hope you’re doing something you love.

Hard Pass released some new music I recorded and mixed. Check it.

I’ve also been working with Rod Brown and a cast of characters including Mike Scarboro, Dave Holder and Kelly Porterfied on a new jazz tune Rod had licensed. Coming to a television near you possibly.

Recorded a few demos/vocal takes for Mason Horne and producer for Mason’s upcoming work.

Dave LaBoone has a new EP that should be finished soon. We’ve got most everything finished except final vocals and a couple of guitar tracks.

Rich Stater has been in and out of the studio working on a new EP, as has Matthew Powers.

Then, there’s Rip Tweed, who stopped by to do a cover of “Long Haired Country Boy.”

If I can help you with your project, please hit me up!

Fall Tunes

I released a new Interruptions of the Mind recording September 27. A collection of tunes I’ve been fiddling with the past year or more plus one going way back (Wedding Song (for a Friend)).

Reviews are pouring in:

“Some x$&head trying to sound like William Tyler.” – Clayton Mathis

“It’s pretty.” – Mom

“Ugh. What is this?” – Todd’s kids

Listen.

Dad

It’s been 4 years since my dad passed away and I think of him often. The pain has gotten easier but it hasn’t gone away. I feel the hurt. Especially when I want to tell him something. Something I think he’d be proud of me for. Or something about my music, or something about baseball. Something about a plant or a tree. I call mom and tell her Happy Father’s Day and say thanks for choosing a great dad for us. I used an old photo of him and mom for the “Our Parents the Gods” single. Another time. Another era. But just a blip in the scheme of things. Soak it up.
